When he said the line “they don’t have physical bodies” it occurred to me: that means they cannot die.

Because ultimately these artificial fluctlights are data contained in a cube. The data can be copied and saved.

The reason so far why humans die is because our bodies cease to function. This can be via external factors, i.e. getting shot or illness, or natural causes (getting old, which in turn means our hearts grow weak or our bodies grow weak and we succumb to some illness)

Since these AI never had real physical bodies to start with, they simply cannot die. In fact, the same applies to humans in SAO. Since their fluctlights can be copied, this means they can be put inside a mechanical body or some form of machine which can give information to them in order to function.

However, the difference being they started as real physical human beings thus they still can “die”, but they can live forever mentally so long as they keep transferring over their brain (souls)

I suppose the one thing the AI have to accept is that they’re actually AI and we’re artificially created in an artificial world.

This season was banging until the author tried to make Asuna relevant. All that watch time just for a deeper explanation? it wasn't necessary. Why does he keep going thru all this effort too put her in the story you cant explain away her unhealthy behavior with "they love each other", she's actually crazy and the story never mentions how abnormal some of her actions are.

I do not know. The way I see it that they both are in love with each other. If she was crazy, she would had done worst like that guy who is obsessed with Shino. Kirito says that he cannot live without her. She just care about him so much, especially, after the accident worrying about him.

ik ik I was just being a lil shit, I'm more mad at the baffling way the story tried forced her into it clearly for the fans, their just wasn't enough creativity for me I guess, making stories is a passion of mine so that ham-fisted approach just wasn't it for me. (it's all fiction and all but... I can only suspend my disbelief so much)
